This role based in Singapore, supports the finance function for a US entity in South Carolina. The candidate must be flexible with their schedule to accommodate US time for meetings and may need to travel to South Carolina on short notices 2-3 times a year, with each trip lasting 2-3 months.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure timely preparation and review of full sets of accounts for month end closing
- Ensure accounting transactions/process/ documentations are properly implemented in compliance with local accounting standards and group policies
- Review, redesign and establish SOPs to reflect and support the business strategy and business growth
- Analyse and present monthly financial results to management and provide valuable insights
- Establish policies and procedures, and drive process improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Effective and proactive contributions to business cases and strategy through financial modelling and the preparation of tools and templates for scenario analysis
- Manage the preparation of the budgets and work closely with the Group FP&A on annual Group budget exercise
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for annual group and local statutory audits and tax filings.
- Preparation of annual accounts / financial statements and reports for compliance with local government regulations and relevant financial and accounting standards.
- Ensures all statutory and tax returns are prepared and filed in an accurate and timely manner
- Other ad-hoc business projects as required.
Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree's in Accounting or ACCA, CPA or CA certified.
At least 6-8 years experience relevant experience preferably in Big 4 audit / manufacturing industry.
Competent in Accounting standards IFRS, IAS and GAAP. Excellent command of MS Office applications and especially strong in Excel and Powerpoint including BI. Familiarity with Hyperion Financial management and Oracle and other accounting software is a plus.
Good communication skills and experience in handling external auditors and audit compliance.
Able to work independently as well as in a team environment and under fast pace and tight deadlines as needed.
Ability to converse in Mandarin to work with China team.
